United Methodist Men
The purpose of the United Methodist Men of NRUMC is to grow spiritually; develop as Christian leaders in home, church, and everyday life; participate in activities which support NRUMC, the District, and NC Conference of United Methodist Men; perform service in support of the local community and the church; enjoy the fellowship of all UMM in all activities.
The NRUMM meet on the second Saturday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. Coffee starts at 7:45 a.m. followed by a full breakfast at 8:00 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 and ends at approximately 9:15.
Our 2019 Schedule:
- September 7: Lisa Bruscha, Executive Director of Wheels4Hope
- October 12: Kemp Mosley
- November 9: Phillip Brickle of Lost Sheep Outreach Ministry
- December 14: NRUMC Youth Choir
The UMM engages in fund raising activities in order to support missions that reach those who are in need. In the coming year we will have fellowship activities such as golf outings, father daughter/son baseball games, men’s retreats, etc. In the area of men’s discipleship we utilize the men’s small group studies. Opportunities for service projects are offered through established programs such as Habitat for Humanity, Hearts and Hammers, Church Grounds Workdays, and the Appalachian Service Project.

At North Raleigh United Methodist Church, we currently have seven UMW Circles that are within our church. Each circle determines where God is calling them to serve and how the group can participate in God’s mission through United Methodist Women. We support a variety of missions through “hands-on” participation in service projects and through our fundraising activities which provide monetary support to local, national and international missions. UMW Circles meet monthly from September through May. Members of all the Circles come together several times a year for special events such as the Spring Tea, Spring Bake Sale, Salad Supper and our fall Holiday Market.
