There are many opportunities for children and their families at NRUMC!

Children are always welcome in worship!


Located in the hallway adjacent to the Fellowship Hall/Atrium bathrooms, next to the Choir Robing Room. We have nursery caregivers who are Safe Sanctuaries and CPR trained.

8:30 Traditional Service –Nursery care is available for all infants and toddlers 8 weeks through 4 years old.

9:45 Contemporary Service – Nursery care is provided during the Contemporary Service (Sunday School hour) for infants and toddlers (8 weeks through age 3).

11:15 Traditional Service – Nursery care is available for all infants and toddlers 8 weeks through 4 years old.

Please be sure to fill out the 2022/23 Kids & Youth Registration Form to register your child for Nursery care!

Children’s Sunday School

Offered during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday School hour for children ages 4 years-5th Grade. “E” classrooms are in the Education Building, and “Y” classrooms are located in the Youth Center.

  • E3 – 4s – Kindergarten
  • Y4 – 1st-2nd Grade
  • Y3 – 3rd-5th Grade

Children’s Music

Join us for our music hour on Sunday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. This is a fluid hour for Little Angels choir (K-2nd Grade), Alleluia Choir (3rd-5th Grade), Bellplates, and Handchimes.

The Bridge

All 4th and 5th Graders are invited to join us for The Bridge! The Bridge meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Kids will play games, read and discuss scripture, work in small groups, do occasional crafts or mission projects, and build Christian friendships.  Parents are invited to volunteer in a number of different aspects of this ministry.  Call Gretchen Shea for more information.
