At NRUMC, we understand how children are the foundation of tomorrow’s church, even today’s church! There are a wide variety of children’s programs and activities to help them embrace the love of God and understand the teachings of the Bible and Wesleyan tenets of the Christian faith.
Is your child entering 3rd grade this year?
3rd Grade Bibles are presented to children on Starting Point Sunday (August 25) during the 11:15 Traditional Worship Service. We use the Spark NRSV Children’s Study Bible, and they are a gift to your children from the church.
If your child will be a 3rd grader for the 2019/2020 school year and would like to receive a study Bible, please email Elizabeth Lebria by August 18 at the latest with the name you would like written on the inside cover of the Bible for your child, and whether or not you plan on attending the 11:15 worship service on August 25 to ensure that your child’s name will be printed in the bulletin.
We will also be holding a Worship Readiness class for our 3rd-graders on September 8 during the Sunday School hour (9:45 – 10:45) in room Y3. We will learn about the Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles Creed, how to search our Bibles, and what it means to serve in worship. Please let us know if you plan for your child to attend!
Summer Sunday School
From June 9 through August 18, we are following a revised Sunday School schedule.
