Worship Services

At NRUMC, we have several worship services each Sunday morning. Each of these has its own character, so we especially encourage visitors to try several to discover which they like the best. Our pastors rotate services so that members hear a variety of messages and get to know all of our pastors.

  • Traditional worship, 11:15- Sanctuary, includes singing hymns from the hymnal, congregational prayers, and traditional creeds of the church. The music is led one of our choirs or a small group of musicians.
  • Our contemporary service, Souljourn, 9:45- Fellowship Hall, is led by our clergy and worship music leaders. The music utilizes a variety of instruments and worship songs are projected as part of a multimedia experence.
  • Online Services, we offer two online services this week. One is an abbreviated version of our traditional service and the other, the Discover service, is more contemporary and designed to be online. Each week both services are emailed out as well as on our website. You can always find the latest service my clicking on “NRUMC Online,” then “Worship Online.” To join the email likst, let us know at info@nrumc.org.

NRUMC also offers special services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.

Traditional Services

If you’re looking for traditional worship, we have 3 great services, led by our clergy, the Chancel Choir, and other music ensembles.

Expect to be surrounded by a warm and caring congregation. Expect dynamic preaching from our ministers, and expect uplifting music from our outstanding Music Ministries. Expect to be blessed!

Children are welcome to participate in worship! We love having our community of all ages in worship together, but if you prefer to have a nursery service, we are working to staff that ministry as soon as possible.

Souljourn Contemporary Service

Each Sunday, we sing uplifting music, spend time in prayer, share the joys and concerns of our lives, and hear God’s word proclaimed to provide direction for our lives.
