Support Groups at NRUMC

Grief Support

1st & 3rd Thursdays | 7:00-8:30 p.m. | S1

If you have experienced the death of a child, parent, sibling, spouse, grandparent, or friend, NRUMC with the Shore Grief Center is here to help you make sense of the grieving process. The Shore Grief Center supports peer-based grief support groups for late teens and adults to assist with the highly personal journey through grief. Our facilitators meet with suicide survivors, bereaved parents, and host a general support group at North Raleigh. Tony Ivosic, one of our church members, facilitates two “Open Door” groups per month at church, and has actively participated in care ministries since 2007.

Currently, the group meets on the 1st Thursday (Bereaved Parents) and 3rd Thursday (Adult Grief) of the month, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in room S1, downstairs in the Sanctuary building. We welcome anyone with Faith, Hope, Love, and Grace, to share our journey. Questions, contact Tony Ivosic at
