Children’s Ministry

At NRUMC, we understand how children are the foundation of tomorrow’s church, even today’s church! There are a wide variety of children’s programs and activities to help them embrace the love of God and understand the teachings of the Bible and Wesleyan tenets of the Christian faith.

There are many opportunities for children and their families at NRUMC!

Nursery

Located in the hallway adjacent to the Fellowship Hall/Atrium bathrooms, next to the Choir Robing Room. We have nursery caregivers who are Safe Sanctuaries and CPR trained.

8:30 Traditional Service –Nursery care is available for all infants and toddlers 8 weeks through 4 years old.

9:45 Contemporary Service – Nursery care is provided during the Contemporary Service (Sunday School hour) for infants and toddlers (8 weeks through age 3).

11:15 Traditional Service – Nursery care is available for all infants and toddlers 8 weeks through 4 years old.

Please be sure to fill out the 2021/22 Kids & Youth Registration Form to register your child for Nursery care!

Children’s Sunday School

Offered during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday School hour for children ages 3 years-5th Grade. “E” classrooms are in the Education Building, and “Y” classrooms are located in the Youth Center.

  • E3 – 4s – Kindergarten
  • Y4 – 1st-2nd Grade
  • Y3 – 3rd-5th Grade

JAM (Jesus and Me) – Children’s Music and Mission Hour

Join us for our weekly JAM hour for children, combining children’s choir with missions and ministry! Two vocal choirs are offered, one for Pre-K – 1st Grade, and one for 2nd – 5th Graders.

These two groups will take turns spending 30 minutes with our Director of Music, Josh O’Dell, to practice music and singing, and 30 minutes with Ms. Gretchen reading a Bible story, doing a mission project, or another activity. Click Here to register today!
