KIDS MINISTRIES AT NRUMC
KIDS IN WORSHIP
Children are always welcome in worship! We offer various age-appropriate Worship Bags for kids to help them experience God in worship in age-appropriate ways. 11:00am Worship features a Kids' Message weekly before the sermon.
We also value kids leading in worship! There are openings to serve as acolye and crucifer - Sign Up Online

THE BRIDGE
All 4th and 5th Graders are invited to join us for The Bridge! The Bridge meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Kids will play games, read and discuss scripture, work in small groups, do occasional crafts or mission projects, and build Christian friendships. Parents are invited to volunteer in a number of different aspects of this ministry. Contact Gretchen Shea for more information.
KIDS'S MUSIC MINISTRIES
We offer kids' music which includes both choir and handbells for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade, with rehearsals on Sunday afternoons at 5pm. All of the kids' music participates in either the 9:45 a.m. contemporary worship and/or 11:00 a.m. traditional service a number of times each semester.
If you are interested in joining Kids' Music or learning more about the group please contact Andy Eaton at andye@nrumc.org
SAFE SANCTUARIES
God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children, youth, and other vulnerable persons from sexual and ritual abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children, youth, and adults grow safe and strong. (From the Book of Resolutions of The United Methodist Church. P. 384-386)
Thus, in covenant with all United Methodist congregations, North Raleigh United Methodist Church (NRUMC) has adopted a Safe Sanctuaries policy for the prevention of child abuse in our church.
This policy applies to all current and potential NRUMC employees, contracted workers and volunteers who will be working in church-sponsored events and ministries that are conducted under the auspices of and/or endorsed by NRUMC and that involve children and youth of this congregation and community. This policy must be followed at all times on church property but also applies to any church related activity on- or off-campus. This policy also applies on church property for groups within and outside NRUMC specific ministries.
