At NRUMC, you will find a warm and welcoming group of members that will open their hearts, minds, and arms to you! Even though we are a larger church, the environment you will find is more reflective of smaller, closer-knit worship communities. We would love to have you visit, join in worship, and see for yourself!
Below is a short overview of North Raleigh United Methodist Church that will give you a snapshot of what Sunday mornings are usually like. Our worship services are open to all, but we are requiring masks for all people as a way to provide love to all of our neighbors including children, those with compromised immune systems, and those yet to be vaccinated. You are welcome to attend without needing to sign up, but if you have any questions at all, please call us at 919-847-1536 or email us at email@example.com and we would be happy to help you get started.
We look forward to seeing you!
We have four worship services each Sunday morning.
- Traditional Worship at 11:15 in our Sanctuary
- Souljourn Contemporary Worship at 9:45 in our Fellowship Hall
- Online Services, we offer two online services this week. One is an abbreviated version of our traditional service and the other, the Discover service, is more contemporary and designed to be online. Each week both services are emailed out as well as on our website. You can always find the latest service my clicking on “NRUMC Online,” then “Worship Online.” To join the email likst, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have two sessions of Sunday School each week, one at 9:45 and the second at 11:15. The 9:45 session has classes for children, youth and adults. The 11:15 session has classes for adults. We are hoping to staff our nursery soon. We usually provice a nursery that is is offered from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for children from ages 8 weeks through 3 years old. We have a dedicated infant room and a dedicated toddler room immediately next to the Music Suite, and both are staffed with professional nursery workers who provide consistent care.
What to Wear?
As NRUMC is already a welcoming church that provides several different types of services for different types of worship, we understand that people are sometimes more comfortable wearing casual clothes to church. You will find that people dress in many different manners at NRUMC, some in suits and ties and others in cargo shorts and tees. The wonderful thing about how God loves us is that the type, condition, and style of our clothing doesn’t matter to Him. And it doesn’t matter to us. We encourage you to wear what you feel most comfortable worshiping in.
