Fun. Faith. Family.
It’s our goal to provide a safe and accepting space for students to learn and practice true discipleship, while also giving students ownership and opportunities to develop leadership. Our Youth Ministry strives to help students understand what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Through small groups, bible study, retreats, and other events and churchwide connections, we help students create authentic relationships with one another, put their faith in action, and seek to be more like Jesus Christ every day.
For questions, contact Jen Haselden. You can reach her at youthministry@nrumc.org or call our church office at 919-847-1536 x113.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP
We offer a student leadership program that is designed to help give students ownership and responsibility as well as provide input and support to youth ministry staff. Meetings and activities planned for this team will help students learn key leadership skills through discussion and practice, as well as help students discover their spiritual gifts and use them to grow not only as a leader but also in their faith. This year’s Student Ministry Team is available to all rising 8th-12th grade students!
WE SUPPORT PARENTS
Parents, we are here to support you as you encourage your youth on their faith journey. We believe that the bulk of discipleship occurs at home, and research tells us that one of the most influential things you can do to develop a young person’s faith long term is to attend worship together.
So we encourage you to make the most of those conversations around the dinner table, on the car ride to school, in the small moments around the house. Talk with their students about your own beliefs, your own spiritual disciplines, and other experiences involving your own faith journey. And be in worship together as often as you can.
We have a new modern worship service held once a month in the youth building! Join us for our next Sunday Evening Worship service at 7:00p.m. The upcoming dates are February 26, March 19, April 23, and May 21.
SAFE SANCTUARIES
God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children and other vulnerable persons from sexual and ritual abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children and adults grow safe and strong. (From the Book of Resolutions of The United Methodist Church. P. 384-386)
Thus, in covenant with all United Methodist congregations, North Raleigh United Methodist Church (NRUMC) has adopted a Safe Sanctuaries policy for the prevention of child abuse in our church.
This policy applies to all current and potential NRUMC employees, contracted workers and volunteers who will be working in church-sponsored events and ministries that are conducted under the auspices of and/or endorsed by NRUMC and that involve children and youth of this congregation and community. This policy must be followed at all times on church property but also applies to any church related activity on- or off-campus. This policy also applies on church property for groups within and outside NRUMC specific ministries.
